Farmyard Tales: For My Boys

During the sleep of our eldest son, Luka, all the stories were created. Choosing the name of the main character was an easy task. These stories were written down, repeated, and supplemented many times while we stayed in the hospital with our younger son, Viktor. I made a conscious effort to mention Luka's name as often as possible, introduce him to various types of animals, and describe colours and landscapes as accurately as I could. Engaging in landscape design helped me occupy my mind during the infinitely long and arduous days spent in therapy, grappling with the child's fears and supporting the suffering parents. This effort had a sweet ending.

The intention behind these stories is to serve as a means of introducing different types of animals, fill the time, and capture the attention of children, at least for a brief period. Every thought and sentence that appears is dedicated to the three of them - Dejan, Luka, and Viktor. The beginning and end of each day are devoted to them, providing eternal inspiration in our everyday struggles and a driving force to remain focused on bringing joy to their eyes and smiles to their faces.

I am grateful to everyone who nourished my hunger for literature, reading, and prose, which I never abandoned. They encouraged me to express my thoughts, keep them deep within, transfer them to paper, and gather the courage to publish. I hope this book will help you create your own adventures and serve as an inspiration for some new and different stories.
